How much Roth conversion should I do?

Quick Answer

Convert just enough to fill your current bracket. Common targets: top of 12% ($96,950 MFJ in 2025), top of 22% ($206,700), or top of 24% ($394,600). Stop short of IRMAA tiers ($206K and $258K MAGI) and NIIT thresholds. Re-evaluate yearly.

Common Roth conversion targets at top of 12, 22, and 24 percent brackets.
